CEL after fuel filter change
Im sure there is a thread around here about CEL coming on after fuel filter change but I didn't find it. Anyways I have a 2004 Taco 4x4 2.7l manual with 80,000 miles on it. Changed the fuel filter couple days ago and it seemed to idle little smoother. Well got off work little after 6am this morning headin home and at a stop light it had a hickup then ran fine after that. The hickup was only for a sec. Well cruising down the highway the CEL came on. I was wondering if anyone may have any ideas what it is. I'm going to run by auto store and have them pull the code this afternoon once I get out of bed and head to work and post them up later on. If anyone has any thoughts or had this experience advice would be great.

i had the same thing happen on my 99 4runner, took it back to the dealer and the codes pulled showed that it was running rich... while running some diagnostics they noticed that it was misfiring randomly on 5 cylinders!!!
they replaced the coils and she's not only running fine but is much peppier
hope you get it sorted dude!

if all you did was replace the fuel filter and didn't
clog the fuel line then the mil is for the group that happens
when you out-of-fuel and will go away eventually
unless it just happens to be some other issue that popped up coincidentally
