I could have sworn i saw it before by searching, but i can't seem to find it again. What have you guys been using to protect your body panels from a cb antenna whipping against it. I prefer not to put a tennis ball on there because it's kind of ghetto. I thought i saw another member using some sort of rubber ball/grommet thing? Anyone know where I can find one?

Not sure what you're talking about jd... where is the antenna mounted that that would be a concern? rear bumper? carrier?... how big/heavy an antenna are you running? a lot of members seem to be using the firesticks which don't flex that much...

I've got it on the rear near the bumper. It's not a firestik though, it's a k40 and it flexes quite a bit. I was just searching some more on google and i think it just might be a good ol' fashion rubber grommet meant for wires to pass through sheet metal...

I used fuel hose to cover up my whip, works pretty good and doesn't look "ghetto." It's also spare hose just in case! I'm actually getting ready to convert over to a FireFly Firestick mounted on my swingout behind the tire to try and improve highway performance. Don't worry, my whip works great on the trails and on flat open spots can get clear transmissions about 2 miles. Make sure you use a SWR meter to verify your setup!! Also, don't cover to much of your whip if you go this route, it might interfer with recieption.
