to cat or not to cat
i am going to install some headers on my 22re after it gets rebuilt, downey most likely. i have read alot of confilcting info on the cat. i am not in a "smog zone" so emmissions is not a question. is it going to improve performance, take it away, or not make a difference. will go to 2.25 from header straight back to a high flow muffler?

The Cat is still federally required, so you cannot remove it. Look for high flow cats, they're often found cheap on eBay. Not sure of any brands, so a little search?

I agree with what he said. Put a high flow cat on there. Why would you not put a cat on there, they serve an important function.
Coos Bay is nice. My Girlfriend went to school in Charleston for a while, I really liked it out there.
