Can't get her to start!!

I am currently looking for ideas. My 97 4Runner has recently started acting up on me. When starting it will take several seconds, longer than normal, to start; and once started she stumbles at first. This happened regardless of engine temp. Today while driving the vehicle came to a halt as if out of gas. I immediately thought fuel filter and changed it, no-go. If I feather the pedal while cranking it will start, rev to about 2000 RPMs, and then die. Over and over this happened. I ran a 12V lead to the fuel pump and could not hear it running, so I swung by the autopart store and picked up a new one. That did not do the trick. I jumpered the fuel pump relay, and could definitely here the pump running now, and still no starty. Now I get nothing but a cranking engine, that won't run??? Help.... please.

try a start with starting fluid, if that works, then you may have a very clogged fuel filter.

if not fuel related, i know those igniters can act up. jiggle the wires and push them in hard to the housing...Ive had problems with mine. also, the MAF sensor might be checked.

reading any codes may help, if any.

Igniter Circuit Malfunction - No. 2. P1310 is the code that was read from my machine. I hope replacing Coil pack #2 will fix the issue.
