can't find the throttle stop screw and the stop lever

Hi all,

I was trying to adjust my TPS, based on this link:

http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/TPS/index.shtml

But I can't find the throttle stop screw and the stop lever that is supposed to be shown on this picture:

PLEASE HELP!!!! I have '91 4Runner V6 auto.

Thanx

See the thingy that is shaped like a hockey stick in the lower left corner of the picture. It has a bunch of little blades in it that vary in thickness. That is the feeler guage (tool) that is referred to in the write-up.

If you look closely one of the blades or guages is sticking out of the tool (on the top end) and is set in front of the little black adjustment screw to adjust the gap.

Best I can do.

Looks like according to your sig your working on a V6, I believe the pic shows the TB off of an 22r engine but yours should be similar. I suggest you take the TB off so you can gain access to the TPS and the throttle stop easier. If you look at the TB from the front of the vehicle you will see where the cables run and the dashpot on the right. You will see the adjustment screw for the dashpot first, follow the long bolt that connects the DP to the TB and you will see the adjusting bolt for the throttle stop. If you rotate the throttle CW it will be easier to see and access the adjusting bolt. Removal of the DP will make it even easier.
