Can you install a new steering wheel for a 2000 4Runner?
Is there any where that you can get a new, preferably a TRD steering wheel, to put on a 2000 4Runner. My steering wheels leather is wearing down and i wish there was something that i could do. Any help?

Why not try a genuine leather wrap first and see how you like it before spending that much money.
Try one from http://www.wheelskins.com/
I have seen these used before and if you take your time and do it right they look pretty decent when complete.
My second suggestion would look into a local trim shop. I'm sure there is a local place to you that can do your orig. wheel for less then switching it out.

my '98 leather wheel was wearing down pretty bad so i got a wheelskins cover, took about 45minutes to install taking my time and it's pretty nice. you can't tell it's a cover unless you're really looking for it. the only thing is it's a little fatter now with the cover on so you will have to get used to it, you won't even notice after about a week of driving. i've got to get another one becuase i work with chemicals and the leather on the wheelskins cover is starting to flake off now, not cuz it's crap but because of the chemicals from work soaking in on my commute home every day. check ebay, that's where i got mine and it was around $35 shipped.

Mine was pretty warn down too (as in, the leather was peeling away). I considered re-stitching it with new leather, but a friend gave me one of those steeringwheel covers from Wal-Mart. Sounds totally classless, but it's nice and keeps the wheel from taking all of the filth from my hands. Even better, it's like $12 to replace the cover if I choose to do so. Might want to consider that.
