Can you do anything with the fake air scoop???
Has anyone modified there hood scoop to act as a true cold air induction?? Would some small holes in the scoop cover help with the deck plate mod? If this has been discussed before rude comments will be accepted, but you have to point me in the right direction after your finished!!!

Do you think this is POR, newbie? We'll haze you AFTER you've been here for a while.
There was a thread about that a while back, I'll need to search for it. The guy had small holes with 3/4" or 1"hoses connecting to the intake from the scoop. Not sure if there were any gains.

Why not just cut out the bottom of the scoop, put a bug shield inside the opening, and let the air that enters the scoop just cool the engine. Would be like having an extra fan blowing cold air over the block.

I'm not sure if you would benefit at all from letting it cool the engine. If you're engine is not running hot, what's the point? Will it run better? The only thing I can see that doing is getting the engine really dirty really fast.

i think that a cooler engine = more hp. ya knowthose dragsters put ice bags on top of the engine before they taketheir runs for a little extra kick. i don't know how much the cutout would coolthe engine though.
