Can someone check their swaybar?
Hey guys,
I haven't had my swaybar in for over 12 months. I just finally got the L and R brackets which go around the front swaybar, and hug up against the larger bushings ON the bar, that go to the frame.
Im assuming L=driver and R=passenger side.
Can someone confirm this for me, and let me know which direction they go. They have one welded in bolt thread, where you put a nut on it, and the other one is like a welded nut, where you thread a bolt through. Which one goes in front??? <<This part is the most important.

Yep, I have the same thing, and now I cant figure out how to make them align! I don't get it. Maybe when I broke mine, something bent up on the frame. WTF!!

Dude, if I had a Runner, I'd be all over it. But I took my swaybars off of my truck, and since it's a Tacoma, I doubt it would help you anyway...

The captive bolt goes forward, captive nut is in the rear. The L and R are from driver perspective. The slit portion of the bushing goes forward as well.
From experience, grease the bushing well with a marine grade grease lest you have to do it over when they start squeaking.

Only grease the bushings if they are polyurethane. Do NOT grease the stock Toyota bushings. The stock rubber bushings are designed to grab the sway bar tightly and twist with the bar. The bar is not supposed to rotate in the rubber bushing.
