Can somebody list tools needed for timing belt replacement on 3rd. Gen 4Runner?
Hey all, I am trying to decide whether or not I would like to try and replace my timing belt on a 2001 4Runner myself. Mainly, I am wondering which SSTs (special service tools) I will need to properly complete the job. I am trying to gauge how much they will all cost. I also want to make sure I use all of the proper tools on the job.
Also, here is a thread I started earlier related more generally to timing belt replacement.

Thanks!

Make sure you use the 217 ft. lbs torque spec for the crank bolt, not the old 185 ft-lb spec used in the first link. I'd even use some locktite on it myself.
