can I remove my running boards? look
for some reason Im having trouble posting pics. please check out the ebay link below, this is essentially the same truck I own. I want the running boards off, but I dont think the remaining black fender flares will look right if I do it. Do I need to remove them as well or do you guys cut the pieces that remain hanging down below the body, or what?!
thanks

everything as in EVERYTHING, even the fender flares? I like those
Or everything as in the boards and what's attached to them, leaving the flares, but requiring flaps for a finished look?
thanks Bob
and weren't you just recently selling a set of flaps cheap?

pay:
to clarify, "everything" meaning the running boards and that front corner piece that connects the front part of the rb to the front fender flares.
here's a pic of the underside of the front flaps:
to answer your question, when you remove the running boards, theres that front corner piece that needs to come off. that's it. replace it w/ front mudflaps. and thats it
better shot of the front flaps:
i sold my front flaps awhile back to aznsky (rob)

I took off my running board due to them being used as rock sliders for over a year. I left the fender flares and "mud" flaps on. Only noticeable problem I had was the front fender flares dont go all the way down to the rocker.
here is the best picture I have.
That's my 2 cents. hope it helps

You can get toyota mudflaps that fits you fender flares from the dealer (30-50$ I think). Part#s are on JA 4runner site

just scroll down to find the info on his page.
