cab visor for 2nd gen?
anybody got any ideas about a cab visor for my 2nd gen? something like the attached pic?
i've seen nicer ones (than this lund one) on tacomas, and was wondering if anything similar was available for the runner.
thanks in advance!

I have seen second gens with those before, they actually look kind of cool. I think J.C. Whitney has them, but they may not be as good quality wise as the Lund.
BTW how does your truck do in sand? I have not taken mine out to the dunes yet, but it is in the cards

thanks dlbrunner. i think i need to see the lund model in person to get a real read on its quality-factor.
the rig does great in sand, in fact. pretty typical toyota story: a couple years ago i was out on chappaquiddick with a friend who's a ford fan (explorer driver). he was beside himself, marveling at the ease with which the runner handled the loose sand.
we cruised all over and never even had a sketchy moment where we thought we might get stuck.
i am in the middle of a bunch of mods and this cab visor will be done in step with some other body/cosmetic items -- provided i can find one that i really like.

To the best of my knowledge, Lund is the only company offering an off-the-shelf windshield visor for Toyota trucks / SUV's.
I'm old enough to remember when visors were common accessories on cars. I don't mind the idea of a visor generally, but (personally) I never liked the looks of the Lund units.
I've always been surprised I've never seen anyone custom-modify an old car visor (e.g., a classic Fulton unit) for installation on a more recent truck / SUV.

I too personally never liked the looks of cab visors, probably because there a common identity with cholo Hispanics and their over-accessorized pick ups.
I do like the looks of dark window tint across the top of the windshield and maybe even a little strip across the bottom. Im getting mine done soon.
