After attepmting to sell my runner, I am contemplating keeping it. However, I just found out that it has CA emissions. How much of a pita is this going to be down the road? I know the pre cat O2 sensor is like twice the price. There are also two pre cats I will call them, and I believe a different ECU. My plan is to find a vehicle that I can pay off and modify as I go, I would like to run it into the ground. I'd like to build it a little, lift, bumpers, skids; and want to make sure I'm sticking my money into the right vehicle. I want to make an expedition type vehicle, so I'm going for the untimate in terms of reliability and ability to build. Would I be better off with a non-CA base or SR5? Landcruiser with a SA? There don't seem to be any other vehicles suited to my intended purpose. Sorry for the long post, thanks for any advice.
