First off welcome to yotatech,
Look for one that has a solid axle like SLC said. Also check for rust around the factor hard top, bottoms of doors and windsheild.
I hope you are a chick cause saying that you like "gettin dirty and 4wheelin" gets you places in the south especially with a name like foxyme.

I say an 88-89 and sas it (~7 inches of lift). You are probably going to rebuild the axles and throw on a suspension lift anyway so get a bigger engine (v 6) out of the deal.

Any luck in finding a Runner yet? Are you going to use this only for 4wheeling or are you going to use it as a daily driver. How much $ are you looking to spend? The four cylinder if geared correctly is more than sufficient for 4wheeling. You can find a local shop and have them weld in a roll bar for cheep.
uh I live on the lake with 2 wet dogz, 4 Muddy trucks on 3 acres of wooded land, no lawn mower and 2 mudholes, don't be weary cause I am damn sure ho stranger to getting dirty

Fellow 16 year old huh? Cool.
I would also suggest getting an '85, solid axle is the way to go.
Welcome to the forums...you're gonna love it, just be sure to save up enough cash before you start scanning the topics cause you will need some serious cash to start moddin your new Runner.

We don't have too many girls on here that like to 4wheel and play with their trucks. I guess you could say this is somewhat interesting.
My vote would also be for the '85.
Well good luck on the search.
