Buying a 4runner and upgrades

Shortly i will be buying a 96-99 4runner. I was wondering if it would be better to get the stick instead of the automatic. I was looking to spend about 7500 or so.
Some mods i wanted to put on are a 3-4" lift, 32-35" tires can i put those on stock rims? Cargo rack with a lightbar. If anyone could give me some good ideas with what to go with i would really appreciate it. Also, if anyone knows someone selling their 4runner in that year range with mods that i might be looking for i would be willing to pay 9-10k. Thanks

p.s. located in Orange County, California but dont mind driving somewhere to pickup a car, east coast is ok. Thanks!!

First off, Welcome to Yotatech.

As far as whether to go stick or automatic read through this thread.
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/poll-what-should-i-get-auto-manual-35471/

And for your other questions, there are endless answers and opinions to them. Use the search button at the top and type in some key words you want to learn about. This will keep you busy for a long time, and make every day without a 4runner even longer.

I would just check the local autotrader for a 4runner you like, or check the online autotrader if you're willing to travel to pick it up. Good luck man.
