Very nice. Looking forward to see the end results. I'm a bull bar fan myself, but tye cost $$. Besides, if everybody had the same accessories, it would be pretty boring here

Here is a smaller one, and it's a Toyota unit too.

Like that yes, but those lights are hideous. (SP?)

And I want my skid plate to be attached to that, but basically like that, yes.

I like that bar. It is really cool looking and fits that Runner very well. Yeah, keep us up to date with your whole process. I am sure that it will look great. Goodluck. :fireman:

I love those Westin Bull Bars. I wish they made them for the 96-98 4Runners. I can only find one for the 99-02's.

Momo, I beleive it's only an overseas item, much like the clinometer I have.

Get a hold of JD on the forum here, and look him up.
He is in Australia, and often scours the boneyards over there, and may have seen them.

The other pics I have of the 2nd gen with the T16 on it came from him during a lunch break one day.
The Toyota pic may have come from him also, I can't remember.

Yes, I completely agree with you! I haven't found ANY for 96-98 4Runners, Westin or others.

Hmmm, my father-in-law's welder and plasma cutter have been collectling dust lately, maybe I should try my hand building one for our application...

The Bull Bar for the 99-02's is made by Smittybilt and called "Outland Sport Bumper" Its on the performance products website.

There was a guy that posted named Dok4runner that has one, but i couldn't find any pics of his rig anywhere.

Edit:
I found it, but it looks like he removed the bar. Anyways he still has some pics http://dok-4runner.freeservers.com/index.htm

I'm also looking for something to mount my Lightforces up to, but those bars would allow the lights to take any impact instead of protecting them. I'm probably going to go with a custom prerunner style. I'm looking for some ideas, so if you've got pics of a nice tube bumper post them!

My dad got a westin safari bar for his 03 taco and before he installed it, we held it up to my 87, and the mount points lined up perfectly. I am pretty sure toyota frames are so identical across the board (tacos, p/u's, and 4runners) that these bars are for the most part interchangeable.
