I recommend a bar of some sort, but heck a removable yakima or Thule bar is best IMHO. Otherwise you are more committed than you seem to be). You'll still have to run the wiring and relays which really isn't that hard. But what do you plan to use? 4 500W Hella's? If so are you gonna be rock crawling or desert racing? Reason I ask?? If you are gonna have 4x 500W lights and going at slow RPM's you need an upgraded alternator. If you are just bushwhacking - wherever it is you live, then you should be fine.

If you are going slow, ya need an upgraded alternator. Ask me why I know (aka Boyles Future Technologies in California!!!)

2 metal L shaped pieces that pinch the the rain gutter inbetween the light bar, very simple design. I can take a picture of mine if you'd like.

if you want them on the roof, why dont you just drill through the stock cross bars?

I did to throw my hi lift up there. And watch out for the glare off of the hood when you throw them up there.

well i dont think it would be too far back, look how far your hellas throw light, and just imagine that another 10ft back. I dunno how your snowboard rack is, but you could prolly fit at least one on each side of it at least.

The only other easy way would be a yakima cross bar, i have one that i was going to use as a light bar, but i dont think i am gonna put lights up there. If your interested let me know.

I didn't think about that, but thanks for the heads up. Sorry Gonzo, the setup I have won't work for yours. Good luck though.

Yeah, thats the same thing I have. I like it alot, the whole light bar will rotate if you want, with the turn of an alan head bolt.
