Broken FOB, need a new one

ok.... I am not putting up with my broken fob any longer. Just spent 5 grueling minutes outside trying to get my fob to unfreeze itself. I hit the button to unlock it and it got stuck and held down thus setting off the alarm. It was stuck down and was going off for 5 minutes before I finally got it to shut up, all of this at 1 am haha. I am sure there are plently of pissed neighbors and cops on the way.

Does anyone know if you can replace the 96-98 fob with a newer 99+ 4runner FOB? I am guessing its a totally different alarm/keyless entry setup but just wanted to check.

Where are some places I can look for a replacement and if no one else has them, how much is the stealership charging?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Thanks Dairy.....
99 runner front pads are 55.00 shipped.
I'm guessing the they are OEM.
Sounds like a great price to me.

What category were the key Fobs under?
I can't find them.Thanks,

That sounds more like it.
Lucky for me.......no alarm system so the fob is a matter of convenience.
I lost one already and my other is just about to break off at the ring.
89.00..........please.......
