Braking distance
How much does larger tires (33's) and a lift affect your braking? I kno the braking distance will be increased but is it worth upgrading brakes?

If you already have the 16" wheels you have the larger brakes - and in my opinion is sufficient. I don't think just jumping to 33's is worth any brake upgrade.

With 33s I didn't really notice much difference and that was on an '85 (smaller brakes.)
But with the '90 and 37s (and now 35s) there is a big difference. It still stops, but it is noticeably harder to stop quickly. I have considered upgrading, but it's expensive (drilled rotors for instance will do absolutely nothing - don't get suckered in to that - you have to go to larger brakes including calipers = $$$ look here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/stoptech-big-brake-kit-installed-w-pics-60869/ ) and it's so easy to blow it off (it does stop after all) and spend the money on other things...
