Brake Pad Install??
Well I just got my new Rims and Tires today (after waiting 4 months!!) and will be putting them on tonite. While I have the wheels off, I figured I'd replace my brake pads. I've never had the pleasure of this task before, so is there anything I should be aware of, or is it pretty straight forward?
Also, at Autozone, when I was checking out with the new set of PF pads, the cashier was trying to sell me some kind of grease which you put on the back of the pads to prevent squeaking or something to that nature. Is this something I will need and should have purchased or just a gimmic? Thanx,
Brad

The install is really easy. Do one side at a time so you have something to look at if you get lost. Use the grease and apply it to the shims (back of the pads). No, it is not a gimmick.
Pads are really easy.
You got it man, no problem.

This is from New England's TTORA site.
http://ttora-ne.com/frontbrakes.htm
I have it saved, as I am going to be doing mine sometime in the near future.
If you do yours, you should think about doing a basic write-up of it.
We do not have one in our Tech section yet.
