This question has been asked before, but that's ok noob
An overbored throttle body with modified butterfly and port matched intake manifold like these guys are selling will gain you about 2 - 3 HP throughout the entire RPM range. However, the cost to HP ratio is probably steep. While they did not list their price, I would imagine the final cost would approach $500+.
For one thing, the intake manifold will be expensive to ship. Or, they may offer a core refund for the manifold.
For the price, I would focus elsewhere. In fact, I would lean toward some good headers and a custom exhaust system. But if you have done all that, this may be a decent route to take. I would contact them and find out more about their prices and shipping charges.

Thanks 96!
I was just holding on to the hope that I found the key to unluck the 3.0 with the port matched intake. Oh well back to the drawing boared....hmmm bored........bored & stroked...... (goes to scour the internet)

The ISR mod and electric fans are worth looking into also.

I've read several posts on this site and other sites where 3.0 users have replaced their throttle bodies with 3mm oversized and noticed nice performance gains. I would think an oversized throttle body and a matching intake would be a nice setup.
DOA is another place that sells oversize throttle bodies for Toyotas if you want more information on the subject too.
If you do a search on the world wide weird, you'll find out more info on it.
