Body lift and rear bumper

Hi all. I was wondering if it is possible to keep the rear bumper at the stock height, that is attached to the body, on a second generation 4Runner with a body lift.

Thanks.
manuel

oh, if it is, do I have to make brackets and stuff or does it just stay mounted in the stock position.

If a 2nd gen is like the 3rd gens, the rear bumper moves up with the body (mounted to the boyd), the front bumper is the one that is mounted to the frame and stays put with a body lift and thus leaves a gap.

The rear bumper will come up with the body when you lift it. It would take some serious modding to make it stay at the stock heighth. Why do you want it to stay at stock height the gap would look terrible.

I have a 1" gap from my BL between the bottom of my rear bumper and my hitch. No one can tell but me.

What I meant by stock height was stock height from the body. I don't want to have that gap. So I guess my question was answered, the bumper comes up with the body after a body lift.

thanks.

Any good body lift kit should come with all the spacers and brackets needed to make the bumpers fit right, as well as things like extending the fuel filler neck and extensions for the steering column etc. (I know some don't, the boneheads, but that's what happens when you buy a $40 body lift kit...)
