blower fan has two speeds

Another question for the first gen gurus. When I bought my 89 the first few speeds on the blower fan were out. Seller said don't worry I have this part right here that will fix the problem. It's a relay with some coils that look like the are in the blower airstream. Where the hell is this thing located and how tough is it to replace? THANKS..

It is by the blower fan. and is realy easy to replace. Just 2 screws and a wire connection. Less than a 5 min. job.

Rheostat. is what is called.

Not a relay, that is the ballast resistor for the fan motor. Full repair info w/ pictures available on my web site:
