Blackstone Laboratories & my new 97 T4R
I lot of you already know I just bought a 97 T4R 4x4. But, I just wanted to post up after my first oil change. Due to everyone's input on here I decided to have it analyzed by blackstone laboratories to see how good a shape this truck was in.
I am very pleased, the truck now has 145,000+ miles on it and the oil was run for 3400mi.
EDIT: The pic didn't show up as clear as I'd like maybe someone will have some suggestions.
I tried to attach it as a PDF, but the file was too large so I converted in to a png file, but now
its hard to read

Is it results from an analyzed oil sample?
Gives me good piece of mind to know I got a good deal, on a good cond. (inside and out) truck
A few more miles and I'll be getting the taco tested for the first time as well.

oil analysis has nothing whatsoever on how the truck's condition
Most other components are easily checked for wear externally, which I have done. Its just good to have a check on the inside to see how everythings holding up. Since I really don't know another way to check engine condition other than compression test.

They also check for gasket material, metal shavings, sludge, coolant, and moisture.

MT Goat beat me to it but $22.50 and then it cost me less than $2 to ship the sample back.
Took em a while to get the kit to me, but only a week to get the results via email.
