Bilstein shock parts--order?
Looking at the parts bag, I see 2 dull metal disks, 2 rubber bushings, 1 silver metal disk, and a nut. Would this be the correct order from top of shock to bottom: Nut, silver disk, dull disk, bushing, (truck bracket), bushing, dull disk, (shock)?
Do any of the stock parts need to be used for the top of the shock?
Is there a specific torque they need to be tightened?
I can't believe they don't put in even a basic sketch for installation!

not sure what your talking about really with the shiny and dull disks....but it should go from the shock up: shock, washer, bushing, frame, bushing, washer, nut...as regards torque...just tighten nut until the bushing starts to sqeeze a bit...not til you squeeze it down flat...just when it starts to squish...hope this helps...or maybe you already got em on and are enjoying your new and improved ride

I was looking in the Haynes manual ( ) and it showed 4 washers. The Bilsteins only came w/ 3. I went to look at the truck and felt over the top lip of the bracket, only 1 up top and 2 on bottom. I thought there were supposed to be 2 on either side. I've got it figured out. Stupid Haynes manual. Beginning to think I wasted $15.
The stock order on the truck from shock up is: washer, bushing, washer, bracket, bushing, washer, nut. I guess Bilstein wanted the top washer to be the shiney one for show (YEAH RIGHT....ON A 4X4????)
Any idea on what the torque specs are on lower front bolts and all the rears?
