biggest tires width/height stock height
I am planning on lifting my 4runner in the future. But I live in a condo with underground parking. So I want to get new rims and tires for now. What is the best tire to go with a 16 x8 wheel. Then when I move I plan on doing the lift with larger tires.

my guess would be 265/75's and would also depend on the brand/model since some seem to run a little wider or taller than the specified size. I heard Goodyear MTR's run a little bigger than the printed size but don't know for sure.

Hi,
I'm new to the forums and was just reading through this thread. I was wondering what the biggest size tire I could go with. I have a 1995 Runner SR5 4WD V6, it has the stock wheels on it right now. I am thinking of going with some BFG Mud Terrains but I'm not sure due to the fact that I will MOSTLY be doing on-road driving with the occasional weekend tooling around at one of the local off-road places. Anyway, thanks for your help!

well, im not too fond of BFG's. they look great, but they last forever. i guess thats not a bad thing
but ive had mine forever, and all i want is for them to hurry and go bald so i can get some bigger ones and ive put at least 24,000 miles on them and they still look brand new!
stupid long lasting reliable tires.
actually, they stick real good too, i never slide around in dirt, rain, snow...
kind of takes the fun out of things.
BFG is a good tire

not that much difference I guess. but on a side note, I can't believe toyota doesn put bigger tires on the LC! those things are way to big for the little tires they put on there. Know wut I be sayin'!

I would have to agree on the long "lastingness" of the BFG's, my cousin has 33's on his 4x4 P.U. and he has easily put over 30k miles on those things and they look like there are still fresh off the showroom floor. AMAZING tires! I can't wait until I can upgrade to the M/T's!!!
