I was wondering evreyones opinion on the best rotors as far as resisting warpage,and the best pads for stopping. I looked in to the tundra conversion and found that autozone had tundra calipers per-loaded with ceramic pads for 199.00 a set. Is this a good deal? I would rather just replace my stock rotors and pads with something that stops better and will not warp. I just bought my 2000runner a few months ago and the rotor s feel a little warped (pulsing) and the thing feels like it takes forever to stop.

Brembo rotors and hawk LTS pads of hawk HD pads, if it stops my T100 it will stop the runner easy.

I'm going to have some brembo slotted rotors up for sale real soon. I will mic them for you, but they're less than 2 years old. Guessing 18k miles or so. I used factory Toyota pads. No issues, but I've got a set of tundra calipers/rotors in the garage that will go on soon. PM me if you're interested.

I bought autozone pads and rotors and ran them for a year and well they sucked, rotors warped after a year of average use, that is nothing that would create abnormal heating conditions (mountain passes).

Went with a new set up of Brembo blank rotors and Hawk pads...a beautiful setup and stops my runner great, its worth the extra bucks and the wait to order the right thing!

I need to do this for my 2000 runner as well. I asked this question previously and got brembo as a rec also. I had not heard about the pads before so I will go that route as well now.

They do create a greater amount of dust compared to say the autozone or napa pad but again it was worth every penny and second to clean the wheel, there really is a big difference. You get what you pay for, and the Brembo pads are built to let more heat out and are just built better. This would most definitely a superb setup if you do a lot of towing or live in mountainous regions.

OEM rotors are to soft and pads are to hard, major problem with this combo.

I like the OEM style brembo rotors and stock pads. So far I have warped the stock rotors with Raybestos pads, warped the OEM brembos with Raybestos pads, Eventually warped the OEM brembos with the ceramic pads and I am most pleased with OEM Brembos with Stock pads. I think the stock pads stop better than the other combos I have tried.

well the autozone pads are lifetime warranty, and the rotors are about 2 year warranty...if you get the duralast kind.

Oops. My bad. You're right.

Autozone rotors are also $56, but I buy those, because if I ever need to return them (2 yr. warranty), I can get new rotors that day.

And cross-drill/slotted rotors don't do jack crap except reduce weight in your wallet.
