best place to look for a new guage
i want a guage for 89 4runner that has a tachometer and a oil pressure guage. im not a real big fan of idiot lights. where would be the best place to look for one?? i dont car if it comes from a junkyard or online somewhere.
also would there i have to purchase anything else or is there all the connections there for the tachometer and the oil pressure guage?

If you want to see what the current new / retail market is like, check out eGauges.com ( http://www.egauges.com ).
With the oil pressure gauge, you'll need a sensor / sender unit. Most new gauges come complete with the sender. Depending on the brand, etc., you may need to use an adaptor to fit it into your block (using an existing threaded port). The hard part about a tach is figuring out what existing sensor wire(s) to tap into. In general, the worst parts will be (a) figuring out the pressure sender fitment; (b) running wires; and (c) figuring out where and how to mount the gauges in your interior...

I think he meant the entire instrument cluster.
Wrecking yards, ebay, and the classifieds here are good places to look. Be patient - they come up all the time. Then do a search, there's a ton of threads detailing the install - it's easy, you should even have the wires already in the harness.
