Back Up Lights
With some help from brian (waskillywabbit),
I was thinking about this mod.
http://www.eurekaboy.com/f250/backuplights.htm
It looks like there is a hook/bracket on the edge of the bumper.
What do you guys think it will look like?

does anyone have a design that I wouldn't rip off whenever I scrape my rear end over something or ram it into a snow bank. I could REALLY use a bit more lighting back there with the tint as dark as it is on my windows.

There is the old trick of installing a more powerful bulb in the stock backup light socket.

I feel ya with not being able to see out the back window. I had my windows done the 1st week I had the new truck and can't see much out of the back when it's dark. I had a topper on my old rig and got in the habit of hanging my head out the window to see when backing up. I would also take a look behind me befor I got in the rig when I knew I was going to go back. I had 2 big lights up top looking back and one $14.00 pep boys utility farm light under pointing back and still struggled. Is there any place to tuck a light under the rig - like near the spare or off to the side? The other option would be up top of the roof rack or off to the side of the roof rack. You could drill into that black piece or take it off and see if there is a mounting point. Let us know what you do.

Or the middle pic looks best to me, but I don't know that you'll get the best light coverage with them so close, so I guess #3 might be best for that...

I would vote #1 then 3 then #2 in that order.
I also vote to stop showing pics of clean trucks. Mine is all snow covered and has ice build up behind the wheels. Looking at these pics is making me cry.

KC's
I got the KC back-up lights and I love um. The flood lens disperses the light well and the relay easily allows for a aux switch so they can be manually switched on at anytime on top of tapping the existing reverse circuit. They make a huge difference! I've tried replacing the standard back-up bulbs with halogen bulbs in my 92 pick-up and the difference was barly noticable (they suck!). I dont believe they are availible in the 3rd gen size bulb anyhow. Even though I'm not a big fan of the brand, go w/ the KC's.

This is what I did, to avoid getting the lights getting ripped off when offroading:

I plan on using different lights at somepoint, I don't like the shape of the ones on there right now (they were pretty cheap) but you get the idea...
