Back from the Dyno Tune
I'm back. Well only for a few minutes.
Dyno tune went well. I wish I had numbers BEFORE the injectors, but such as life. When I showed up I was pushing 145hp to the wheels (yuck) and now I am around 176. (215ft lbs of torque) The runner feels MUCH stronger, especially from 2500 to 4500.
I will post the graph when I get home tonight. I also shot a few video clips.
All went well. I was hoping for a tad over 200 at the wheels, but we will work on that. I really think the ECU was fighting the new settings.
Now Ralph, it's your turn!

I just might make it to a dyno next week, we'll see. I'd like some before and after fuel numbers Your truck sure looked like it was making more power when he hit it

It may sound stupid, I have a question for the Dyno test. I haven't had performance-mod anything on my runner. (except..like the K&N filter, Mobile-1 Syn motor oil.) So If I go to the Dyno test after that can I see improvement on my runner's performance?

What size injectors did you put in?
I am running 440cc right now, but will be pumping them up to 550cc.
Here is my dynorun at 11psi, on my 3.0
250hp and 262 ft/lbs torque, running 38" tires

Or maybe you need a cross between your 4Runner and the Eagle?

I finally got some video. I wasn't able to scan in the results, so I took a picture of them. You can read it okay, just not a perfect angle.
There are three video's, check em out.

I am leary about the results. Settings seem a bit strange.
They never got it to idle at the right a/f range, it was always rich (16:1 or so) no matter what they did with the S-AFC. It looked like the ECU was fighting the S-AFC or something like that.
I will say that every run produced more power. (or every change of the S-AFC) it was neat watching the HP go up a little at a time.

Exactly, the ECU was fighting the AFC.
This should only happen in closed loop. That is why I tell people to tune the close loop first by using a scan tool and setting it up so the long term fuel trim is as close to ZERO as you can get it.
The base fuel corrections do seem to have some affect on open loop, it shouldn't but it seems that it does to some extent. I see poeple all the time going to the dyno and tuning the WOT first and then a week or so later their WOT mixture is all messed up again becuase the ECU is busy trying to correct in the closed loop mix. It does seem to throgh off the WOT tuning they did first.
If you set it up so the long term fuel trim is as close to zero as possible the ECU will not make any adjustments to the closed loop mix, your truck will idle prefectly, and you will get the best fuel economy.
I just hate to see people go spend all that money and time for dyno tuning and then have the ECU throw it all out the window when it does its own thing later.
Now, that chart looks good, but the power seems very low. You should be somewhere near 210-220 with the supercharger and fuel mods properly set up. One thing that might cause it is the elivation you are at, maybe. Do you know if that chart shows actual HP or "CORRECTED" HP? Corrected will use a convertion programe to show what that engine should be making at sea level in a standard day.

Could he have entered those incorrectly? It sure *feels* like more than 176hp.

Thats why I asked if you were S/C'd.. You should be making way more then 176hp, especially w/the fuel mods. I would be very curious to see the results from another Dyno. I don't think that one is calibrated correctly.. BTW, your truck sounded MEAN! A lot meaner the 176HP..

What kind of viewer do you need to view a .RM file? I don't have anything that seems to work.
