b.j. spacer question
Hey guys,
If you install ball joint spacers, do you have to drop the diff at all? will it cause problems because the upper and lower arms are no longer parallel (without a diff drop)? is it a good way to lift? I have heard people rave about em so im thinkin about getting some just had some questions for the experts. thanks guys

93 4runner, downey 26 mm t bars, all pro spacers, jasper 3.0, warn hubs, surco rack, lots more to go tho

Just kidding...er, well sort of. I'm in the middle or doing everything I just described. I just installed the new rear springs this past weekend and the diff swap is next.

OMG!, I'm going to be broke for like the next 5 years! So ok....whats first, and so I do need to buy new springs....ok, but what size springs do I need to get...I've seen 2 sizes, 1 1/4 ", or 2 1/4 "?, do I need to get spacers if I get the 2 1/4" springs, and shocks...0-1" lift, or 4" lift? Man...I'm so confused, I don't really have anyone here to help or talk to about this stuff, and definently no place to work on my truck. Guess I should just buy everything I need first eh? Starting with spacers, shocks, springs, and pan hard drop bracket. I'm gunna have to get another job!

To gain anything from the spacers, you need to back off the t-bat adjustment so you lose height and gain travel. Just keep the same height, then you will not be broke.
The spacers are not for lift, they are to improve ride and travel.

To better illustrate, if you adjust the t-bars, you can have 1.5" of lift at the adding compression travel at the expense of down travel. With spacers, you could get 1.5" of lift, 1.5" more compression travel, and no sacrifice in downtravel.

so Frank are you going to make any diff drops any time soon? I haven't taken a good hard look but it doesn't seem to possible, but somebody posted a website of some guys with Hiluxes that made their own bj spacers and diff drops. nobody answered my question on how they made the diff drop. :0
