Exclamation axles wont come out

can someone please tell me why or how to remove the cv axles from my 96 taco? trying to replace center diff

IF im not mistaken they are held in by a snapring, you have to be rough with em. pry bar between the housing and shaft maybe......

At work I always use a pry bar as pea said. If that doesn't work then a BFH and a long steel driver helps to persuade them out. Only problem with the last method is you need to use shop lift to get the full swing of the hammer.

You may need to have a couple of clips handy for reinstall. Sometimes they break.

yea prybar is the way to go but i did happen to bend a 36" prybar so go figure
