Axle Bearing Question

Hey y'all, I just joined the forums but I have used toe site to help me with different problems I've had. Right now I'm stumped, I've got a 98 Taco SR5 4wd with the 2.7. Just recently did a rear brake job and realized oil was in my passenger drum so I changed the bearing and both seals (non abs). I did all of the work with the exception of pressing the bearing and outer seal on. When I drive it a while, I can still smell rear end dope and that passenger wheel is still getting hot (I can touch it). I haven't seen and signs of leaking and my differential is still full of oil. What could the problem be?
