Automatic window on passenger side

Does anyone know what kind of switch is in a 2nd gen 4Runner for the auto window on the drivers side? I want to do the same to the passenger side but don't know what to get. Do I need a relay or what? Thanks.

Pretty sure (99.7%) it's not possible with the factory module. I opened up my switch box (a whole nother story) and the switches are not really alike at all. 3rd gen and 2nd modules are basically the same except for the harness I believe. Talking circles. . .

I see... I fugure it could be done though. I think I would just need a switch (other than the controll) to tell the motor to stop when the window is all the way down. I have no idea how to do that though.

I would guess the easiest way would be use of a alarm module that controls windows should do the trick without having to re-invent the wheel. just my .02

not to steal a post, but what about us 3rd gen people that don't have it on the passenger side? Think we could just take it off a later 3rd gen and install it in a plug and "play" fashion?

If so, think we could also put auto down's on the back windows?

I think Jason B looked into the details of this mod at one time, and determined that it wasn't worth the time/money/effort - there were too many little things that would need to be changed.

Get a DEI 530T, usually on eBay. It'll give you auto-up and auto-down for both front windows, and vent/down with a spare remote channel on an alarm.

Do a search here for 530T.
