automatic locks 02 4runner

Whenever I start my truck the doors lock automatically. I want to stop them from doing it. I checked my owners manual says nothing about it. Does any one know how to turn this off??

Hey did you buy the truck brand new? Are you sure these is not aftermarket alarm in there? My 99 limited has 2 alarms the stock one and an aftermarket one.

After the second one was installed the doors now autolock. They never did with the stock alarm setup.

(I still use the stock alarm, I only use the second one for remote starting in winters, and if I need the 2 way paging because Im in a shady neighborhood)

Mine doesn't auot lock on startup but if I unlock it and don't start it, it automatically locks itself again. Kind of a pain IMO.

yep, i've got the OEM alarm too.

i'm looking at my alarm manual and it looks like on of the options is "lock with ignition - doors lock when all doors are closed and ignition is turned on"

here are some scans from the alarm manual. this should tell you how to enable/disable auto-locks. lee, or anyone else, if you can't see the pictures and want them, pm me and i'll email them to you.
