automatic locking

my 97 4runner locks the doors automatically when i turn the car on if all the doors are closed.. is there a way to turn this off? i dont have an alarm system or a keyless remote if that has anything to do with it. thanks

sounds like there is an aftermarket alarm/keyless in there.

should be pretty easy to deprogram that feature, as soon as you figure out what kind of keyless system you have.

in case you have the factory alarm, go here
but you will need the remote and it is almost a hundred bucks from the dealer.

Are you using the keyless entry? When you use the keyless entry it does that, but if you lost that like I did it will stop doing that.

Or you can buy it off e-bay for 1/4th of that.
