Auto Tranny leaking from bell housing...torque converter seal the likely culprit?

Tranny's been leaking up front for a couple of weeks, I've been having to add fluid periodically. I have been told its prob the seal at the torque converter. Anybody else ever have this problem, was it the torque converter?

The torque converter it self can't usually leak, but the main front pump seal where the converter hub plugs into the trans is a likely culprit, there is also an 'O' ring seal around the front pump body where it fits into the main trans case. Either one requires the transmission to be removed to replace. Also check the sump pan, it might be leaking from the gasket in the front, and look like it is coming from the converter area. If it is the sump, that is an easy fix, trans doesn't have to come out.
