Auto hubs to manual hubs
I have an '86 4Runner with auto hubs. I was told that all you had to do to convert them to manual is just unbolt the auto and bolt on the manual hubs, is this true or not? any help would be appreciated.

hey m&s!
just follow the steps outlined in the above article, it shouldnt take you much more than an hour to an hour & 1/2 to complete the switch over. try and find the aisin locking hubs, they are the ones you want.

you got it! while you are at it, get a haynes or chilton repair manual for yourself. use the search button for ' factory service manual ' or similar, there are a couple members that have them and could send you the necessary info if you pm them.
