ASA TRS Wheels

As you guys may have read, my 4Runner was wrecked on 1/12/05. In the wreck both passenger wheels were damaged, with cosmetic damage to the tires. I was wondering, if the suggested dealer price of the OEM 16x7 rims are enough ($300 each maybe?) then I can just get a set of ASA TRS wheels off of Tire Rack? If the 16x8 size works, could I run a 285/75/16 on the stock suspension? I was wondering this because of the backspacing on the TRS, but it doesnt say it on the website. Or maybe a set of the Enkei RT6 wheels, but they are a bit pricey. Or maybe a set of 17' Sequoia/Tundra take-offs but settle with the OEM tires? So will the 285 fit on the TRS? Any other wheel suggestions are welcome! Thanks, and yes I searched.

i just bought enkei RTS wheels from discount tire 16x8, for like $120 a piece. the price has gone up in the last week though and they are now $128 a piece. they are very nice, unfortunately they don't have the backspacing that the guy that sold them to me said they would and i may not be able to run them without a lot more work. Backspacing seems to be very close to stock. they actually don't even have the ones that i bought on their site anymore. i bought ones with 10mm backspacing, somehow that equates to nearly 4.75" backspacing, the guy when i bought them told me they would have 4.25".

Hmm, thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about your backspacing issue, that sucks. I'm gonna try to look for another vendor of the Enkeis, but we'll see. Right now, a set of the Tundra take-offs looks like a good bet though...

You can't run 285's w/o a lift no matter what wheels you run. 265/75 is the max size for stock. You can run 285's on stock 16x7's or aftermarket 16x8's though.

Thanks for the offer. The funny thing is, I'm a senior in high school and will be taking an official visit to Auburn around Feb. 1 (this time with Dad, ). iSo it would be perfect if the 4Runner wasn't wrecked and all of my plans for it are up in the air. Hell, I haven't even talked to the adjuster yet to see about the damn claim! But I will PM you about the tire before I come, good idea for the spare.

Will the 265/75 fit on the spare rim in the factory underbody location? If the truck weren't at the body shop I would look...

If yours came with the 16" wheels it will fit on the apre and it will fit underneath the truck in the factory location.
