ARB's for everyone!!!! (Australia)

I am in Sydney Australia right now, and they've got ARB's on everything! There is definitely some cool looking Toyota's over here. The LC Prado's are the most seen of the late model, I've seen ZERO 3rd Gen 4Runners, and lot of Turbo diesel and regular Turbo 1st or 2nd Gen.

There are some really cool looking 2 door RAV 4's, the Highlander has another name here. There's even a souped up version of the 4 door RAV 4 that looks pretty mean.

The Nissan Patrol's are bad ass, Nizzan missed out by never sending it to the US. I'll try to take some pics of the some strange Yota.. like the other day, I saw a newer LandCruiser with the 4 door on, but the rear removed and a flat bed in its place.

I've just learned that the GX470 is the LC Prado here, there is no Lexus version of this truck. There is however, the full on LandCruiser and the Lexus LX470 here. The Highlander is called a Kluger.

the earlier lc prado shares the same engine and chassis as our 3rd gen. ive taken the nissan patrols offroad tons of times in the middle east, they are pretty heavy, 4.5L I6 like the lc fj80, but share the same kind of performance in the desert dunes as the lc.

I thought this would be a good time to post these pics of an older FJ I spotted while heading north on 395 in Independence. The thing had about 6 business cards weathered and sticking in the driver's side window...

My mechanis has a couple of Land Cruisers, I'll have to get pictures some time.

I like the look of that truck also.

"I've just learned that the GX470 is the LC Prado here"
Same in Europe, I saw several when I was back there a month ago.

Also, in NG Adventure Magazine they had a pu Toyota in the jungle that looked more Landrover/squarish. does anybody know what model that is (wasn't a Landcruiser as far as I could see

Nissan Patrol looks like the American version of the Landcruiser:

I wonder why Nissan didn't import these here instead of making the ugly armada, my guess it is too much truck and less car like for the US market.

I would of course kill for a turbodeisel 4x4 5 speed, however, this picture of it makes it look prettier than the other but I am still not a big fan of the look. I maintain that I think ours looks way more bad ass. I mean c'mon, look at it, and I like this grill damnit.

I'll post pics later, didn't have them on my hosted site and imagestation won't let you link.

There is a Nissan X-trail here, which at first glance I thought was an Xterra but it looks different. I see no new Pathfinders here either, just Patrol's.

There are some 3rd gens in Oz but are rare. These are imported from Japan and are known as Hilux Surfs. Mostly these are 3.0L turbodiesels but there are very few which have the 3.4L V6.

Cheers!!
