ARB Taco bar and 99 SR5
well, i got an used Taco bar and planning upgrade. it didn't come with any instructions. i did call ARB USA and got a pdf manual via email. sadly, it was for a Tacoma.
so, my question is "how much you cut off the front end of the frame?"
here is what i have right now:
the frame has not been touched, all factory. should i cut at "1" in front the hole or some where near "2" behind the hole. i'm planning on doing the swap this week. thanks.

Let's see if I remember right. I think you're only supposed to cut those upper and lower tabs off, just where the upper and lower bolts are and not actually cut the frame. There should be a threaded hole in in between those bolts but you're current bumpers mounting pads are covering them now.

Just look at the bracket that slips over the frame ends. I don't think you have to cut the frame, I didn't have to on my 97. Just had to trim up the end plate so the bracket would slide over.

all i had to do was cut the frame rail at the end and grind down the burrs and the impact absorbers just slid right on...the instructions are HORRIBLE so expect any help from them, unless you are putting a winch on too cuz thats all the instructions talk about!
good luck
