Is this the ARB I need?

OK, well, got into a little fender bender today at school in the parking lot and I'm gonna have the girl that hit me pay for the slight damage to my bumper...I'm gonna have her pay me the cost of a new Toyota bumper and then I'll just throw in the extra cash for the ARB.

Is this the right one for my rig? It says 89-94 Pick-Up / 4Runner

Here's the link:

http://www.4by4connection.com/arbwinbarfor9.html

If this is the right one then I may be ordering it within the week.

Thanks guys!!

Oh yeah! I just remembered that he had a pic on there. Thanks Flygt!

Think I should go ARB or TJM? I like the TJM being bolt-on and I also think they look better...I couldn't find any on 4x4Connection, do they make em?

The ARB has integral wings, the TJM bolts theirs on.

The ARB is not a rockcrawling bumper. It is made to kill kangaroos and act as a winch platform.

Mine has take the weight of the truck falling off ledges, gotten hammered into assorted faces and winched until my XP almost stalled.

It also likes to eat rocks with the fins.

I would consider going to the local 4Wheel parts, making them price match and then picking it up at the store to save shipping. They say shipping is free, but not when it is 125 bucks of truck freight.

Well my nearest 4wheel Parts Store is about 4 or 5 hours away and the amount of money I would spend gas and the time it would take doesn't really warrant me driving all that way.

So if I were to get an ARB I would have to get it welded on then?

Hmm...I don't know what to do!

Weld, heavens no!
http://www.pnw4runners.com/tech/arb_install_info/

The ARB is a simple bolt on.
I have the install sheets scanned in the link above.

So far the only place I have looked is 4x4 Connection, are there any cheaper places out there? I don't have a local place that sells them I don't believe, there is an ARB dealer just north of me but I'm not sure they carry them. I will check into that though to save on shipping.

Any more helpful hints or tricks or recommendations are welcomed!

Thanks guys!

Will any winch application fit into the ARB?

In particular, the HS9500i?

I believe that none of the "I"ntegrated winches will work with either the ARB or TJM.
You need something with a solenoid that can be placed elsewhere.

No welding needed.

The ARB will take anything up to the XP 9.5 so long as they do not have the attached solenoid.

I would by the ARB. I have slammed the wings many times without flinching and I attribute the strength to the one piece design.

On the ARB can you take the hoops off or are they attached? I like the look without the hooks the best...namely the TJM T17 but I cant find it for my year model anywhere...

nope, it's all welded together. that would be pretty cool though, I considered cutting mine off, but I think i'll just leave it.

George,

You are correct, none of the winches with the integrated solenoid fit the ARB, or at least without major modifying. By the way, don't forget to post pics of that XD9000 mounted to your TJM.
