new sway bar bushings are needed i assume? should i get the ones from wheelers off road for 23.95?

is it safe to drive like this also? i assume so since it appears to just be the sway bar unhooked on one side

Looks to me also like the first pic is the drivers side, and the second two are the passenger side, just the opposite of what you said.

Unless of course my brain is running backwards, I have been up a long time.

you need new bushings AND new links, that one is broken, it snapped between the top and bottom bushing

but no, it doesnt look strange, only stock

edit: now I see what is strange, sorry it took so long, yeah your CV angles are perfectly stock and you have no lift

yep, sorry to say, it is

looks like they were taken from underneath the 4runner, not from the front, notice how the sway bar is in the FRONT, of everything... mine mounts to the frame behind the engine

FJ swaybars are in the front, and 3rd gens are in the rear.

Oh, OK, so the pics were taken like from underneath and standing behind.
I am still not use to these front ends with rack & pinion, I would have to run out and look at mine, which is similar.

I guess the shocks/coils would be in the front.
My brain is still use to old school like my what was on my '91 4Runner.

Good time to put in disco's.

fwiw, I've been driving without a front sway bar for quite a while. The worst thing about your situation is that the link will be bashing into the bar potentially bending it (the link).

if you want the same crazy balljoint using stock one, I would recommend one of the dealerships that cater to us here... I have had good service from Northridge Toyota

Looks to me like your well on your way just to remove the swaybar completely.

A few more bolts, and it's in the dumpster.

seems too inexpensive to be right when compared to the moog parts... they are good quality also.. but not listed in right parts either
