Has anyone used the Pro Comp 2.5" spacers, for the price I thought it might be a good first step with some new shocks, until I get around to doing a coil lift:

Is there anything else you need to do when adding spacers?

I was all about this lift until I realized it is a front lift only. After looking at some rear lift options (I only looked a coils really because my rear is sagging) it put me right up around the $250 mark or so. You can get an OME lift from www.toyteclifts.com for only $360 + shipping. This replaces all of the coils with OME coils and is much better option for me.

The first lift I did on my rig was the Daystar 2.5" spacers. I didn't do the install so I couldn't tell you what's different in the kits. But when it comes down to it, the extended studs and spacers are all you need to lift it. That's all I removed and sold when I did my Tundra/OME lift.

I am running the 2.5 in Pro Comp poly lift. My problem was that my 4runner is a '99 which is taller than other years so I'm told. If your's is a '99 be prepared to lift the rr 3.5 in. to keep it level, and drop the diff at least an inch if not 1 1/4 in. I'm running Pro Comp ES 6000 front struts and I like the set up so far. My only real complaint is that it is a little bouncy in the front. I am going to be adding a H/D front bumper and winch and we'll see if that helps.

I'd think long and hard before doing a spacer lift again. The ride is harsh and in time, the stock springs will sag under the constant load of the spacers. Like Frodin, I did the 2.5" Daystar lift, but have since replaced the rears with Land Cruiser coils. The Tundra front coil lift is high on my list of mods too. If you piece the coil lift together, it can be done quite reasonably. I did the rears for ~$125 and the fronts will likely run ~$300...without shocks. Do some research and see what people are saying about spacers. Do it right the first time with coils!
