i have to replace my clutch soon. is the dual friction overrated or worth the dough? also how about the heavier flywheel does all that make a difference. or is it just alot of hype i want to do the combo. i wheel pretty hard but i'm not so crazy. my rigs got 33s and a locker. how about other options any input would be sweet thanks

Hey, this is just my opinion of coarse. I have tried and tested a few of the "other clutches" in my rigs (all Toyota's) and by far the best has been the OEM stuff, origainal Toyota parts. But hey, that's just me...

I have a Centerforce Dual Friction. It works great when the engine is running, and grabs like a champ especially when offroad. But when I am parked on a hill, it won't hold like the OEM did even when it was worn out. I am going to get a different clutch when this one is worn out. Jut my $.02

I got the dual friction clutch and heavier flywheel combo in my truck and very happy w/ it. My dad and bro were impressed as well so they installed the combo in their Toys too.

I had one in my 86 truck and I have nothing but praise for the Dual Friction. Zero problems. I just put one in my Tacoma.

I have a Centerforce Dual-Friction in my 1990 4x4 pickup. It has worked very well for me, although everyone else who has driven it says it is harder to engage the clutch (ie it takes more effort to push in the pedal) than it was with the OEM. But I like it! Plus, my truck is basically stock (NWOR headers + K&N filter) so I feel I have more than enough clutch for the offroad conditions that I encounter. Just my $0.02 worth.
