Buy a Haynes or Chiltons manual, I'd recommend Haynes of the two... can be bought/ordered from your local part store.... if you're in Boulder then no doubt somebody carries it in stock. They have wiring diagrams, which are helpful if you know how to read them or a puzzle if you don't... good luck!

No worries. The service manager at Boulder Toyota is the sh&t. He's the same one that warranted my new tranny 3 months past my warranty expiration date. He just hooked me up with the print out of the starter wire diagram. If anyone wants it I'll post it here.
To let everyone know why I ask for this info... I'm doing a project that incorporates a push start ignition button. It will be hidden so it will act as a "kill switch" in a sense. You'll still need the key to power it up but then you'll have to find the switch to start the truck. I'll let you all know how it goes. Lates!

I was going to put a simple kill switch in but then I got to thinking how I could spice it up a lil. Well... I found a cool push start button today on e-bay and found some instruction on how to do the mod so I said what the hell. I'm just going to mount the switch in a hidden place. I just figured out the wire diagram for the most part so I'm more stoked cuz I think it'll work quite well!

Ok, well I came up with a way of hooking up a push start button and/or kill switch. Any of you electricians care to chime in? The button I bought is rated at 35 amps. Here's a picture of the wire schematic I came up with. Let me know if you think this will work. Basically I want to only be able to use the push start button if the key is turned to the on position. Here's the diagram...
