Anyone with a 2nd Gen Toyota Factory Repair Manual...

could you do me a huge favor and scan the pages for timing belt replacement? I think I understand how to do everything, but I'd like to see what they have... Right now I cant afford a timing kit and the 3 books. One or the other.

Thanks a TON in advance.

guys thank you a TON!!!

but I dont have that same tensioner....all 93-95 have a bolt on tensioner, while the 88-92 3vze's have the idler tensioner like mine. I was really left curious about that tensioner.

but THANK YOU a ton, I REALLY appreciate it.

I did my timing belt during spring-break a couple years ago. I took my time, bagged all the pieces in labeled zip-lok bags and ordered most of the parts ahead of time. Once I got into it, I thought the bearings in the idlers sounded dry, so I went ahead and ordered them and replaced them at the same time. It took me most of the week, working a little, waiting a lot. But when I fired it up, it was perfect. Read up on it and take your time.

One more thing...use Toyota parts...the timing belts line up better.

Hey Bumpin', I have the FSM for my '91 v6, you still need the timing belt pages? If you do, I'll scan 'em and send them your way.

Definately!! The others were a great help in clarifying the process, but our 3vze's have the idler/tensioner combined and Im hopig it wont require removal of the PS pump. But definately send em my way! Thanks man!

bumpin,

glad to see the guys helped you out!

you can also download your own personal copy of the ENTIRE genuine toyota FSM manuals for your vehicle for $10. go to the "maintenance forum" and there's a stickied link there. open it up and youll see the link for the toyota online manual website.

feedback has been great so far for the site.

Thanks for the link man but i've had nothing but issues from that site on my brand spanking new laptop....

I have XP severice pack 2 and it wont allow the new pdf window to pop up. It says that it allowed them, but nothing pops up.

I just went to our old puter that doesnt have SP2 and have been able to DL to my hearts content...wish I could just select all and save everything they have on file....lol
