Any "how-tos" on Injector Removal - 01 Taco

Ttile says it all. Looking for a write-up on how to 1. Check the injectors (Can you get a meter on them without major disassembly?) 2. How to get to/remove the injectors on a 3.4L.

You have to take apart/off the intake manifold to get at the bolts that hold the fuel rail down. After the manifold is off, its actually quite easy to get the injectors off.

Make sure you take the fuel cap off to drain the pressure in the lines. There will still be a bit of fuel in the rails, but it wont be spraying out anywhere.

Another point is keeping track of vaccum lines and such. Thats about all the help you should need, short of pictures.

Maybe you could probe the ECU where the fuel injectors are wired in the harness.

(2nd page shows a pinout)

Manual says injectors should read 13.8 ohms resistance.

Here's the FSM removal of the injectors.

Thanks, i got the FSM page the other day. Luckily as I looked it over, I am able to reach all the connectors on the right side. In this case I simply needed to get a polarity reading in prep for a conversion I am doing, so all I needed to do was reach at least one of the connectors.

However when I have the manifold off doing the conversion, I will be checking all the injectors. Hoping they are all within range since those little buggers are pricey. $143+ each retail.
