Any 4runners using Donahoe REAR springs and shocks?
Well I've been going back and forth between another tacoma or a 4runner, finally decided to pull the trigger on a 4runner this weekend
I already have a set of Donahoes for the front and am looking for a set up for the rear. I heard Donahoe was coming out with a setup for the rear, looks like it's out http://www.donahoeracing.com/product...&submit=Go+%3E Anyone running the rear springs and Signature shocks? I havent heard a thing about these yet, but people seem to love their rears for the Tacoma so I thought these might be a good match for the 4runner too. If not, what else are people running in the rear with the hoes up front? Also, I've got a brand new set of Bilstein 5125s for a taco, but I'm pretty sure the 4runner would require different length shocks...am I correct here?

Nope, the only 4runner using the dr rear set-up was the one that was for sale on here a while back and sold to someone.
That was the main sales guy at DR's runner and with it went the prototypes.
I'll assume they kept all of their notes so that they can some day put them into production....... , but I don't think it will be while my 4runner is alive.

sorry Slus, don't bother calling around.
I used to work for DR. They are not out, and even they don't know when they will be out...

Thanks for saving me the effort, at least.
Any suggestions for a semi decent rear setup? OME's? Downeys?
SOAZtim, what are PP rear springs? How do you like them with your donahoes, and what bilsteins are you running in the rear?

Its the closest set up to the DR's.
Performance products sells them. They use a high quality spring. The bilstiens are 5100's. The one thing that my set-up lacks is some better bump stops from sonoransteel.com. Then it will be pretty good for high speed and low speed.
The only thing better abou the DR set-up will be the valving in the rear shocks.
Edit: Let the folks on the board here know if you are looking to trek across the land on offroad journeys, like the desert racing thing, rock crawl, daily driver, street only etc and then everyone including myself can point you in the right direction.

wheelersoffroad.com has the rear shocks & coils for the 4th gen listed on their website. both are about $200 a pair each. not sure about the 3rd gen, but you'd think they would have that together by now.

Excellent, that's exactly what I needed to hear. I'll order all those goodies on monday. One more question, what length are your 5100s? I've still got a set of 5125s off the back of my stock height tacoma, but I still havent found if they will work or not. Thanks for all your help!
Sorry about that, but I just got the size 5100s that are stock replacement for 3rd gen 4runners.
