I just got a 1998 4Runner 4x4 and will be adding a 3" Revtek lift. I used to have a 1999 Tacoma 4x4 with the 3" Revtek and 32x11.5 on 15x8's and really liked the setup (i.e., width, height, & fitment in wheel well). I want the same look but with the 4runner I'm stuck going in the 16" wheel direction... limiting tire size combos. From what I have been able to research on BFG, ProComp and Bridgestone websites; the only tire (close to my old 32x11.5 on 15x8 setup) that would give the same width is the 285x75 on the 16x8. Seems like the majority of people with just a 3" susp. lift do this. To me it looks a little "stuffed" in the wheel well. I'd rather go with a narrower tire and 15x10 rim to achieve the similar overall width and a shorter tire (with hopefully no rubbing)... Nobody I've contacted has recommended 16x10's on the 4runner and I'm wondering if its possible to do maybe a 265x70 on the 16x10's with minimal trimming and rubbing. Any feedback would stoke me out.
