Another sqeaky window question
My wife drives a 2000 Pathfinder. Both of her front windows squeak BADLY when you put them down - but only the first little bit. They don't sqeak the whole way down. I figured out where the problem is but I can't make it stop (permanently) to save my life. On the rubber trim right next to the side-view mirror, there is a different kind of rubber than the rest of the window. It's only on the vertical portion of the trim. When you put the window down, the window only travels on this part of the trim for about an inch and a half and then its inside the door frame - hence the squeaking just for a second when I put the window down. I've tried white grease (spray), WD-40, liquid graphite, you name it. It stops for about a week, and then its back. OMG, its loud and annoying.

Biohazard: Try using a product called Sil-Glyde (got my $5.00 tube from NAPA). It is a silicone lubricant that is made for lubricating weather-stripping. I have used it to get rid of squeaky/binding rubber window channels and it seems to last quite a while.
